“One might think, “Well, the field of English-Language Teaching is dominated by women, so there is no sexism in ELT, and there are plenty of female leaders out there.” Think again… look around! Though I have not conducted a formal study on this, I can safely argue that the number of women directing large English-Language Teaching Institutes in Brazil is disproportionally lower than the number of women in teaching, supervisorial, and academic coordination positions.”
