Teaching Teenagers - Face to face

Teaching teenagers is usually seen as a challenge. Between mood swings and clever retorts, there is a lot going on with our teenage students. In this course, we will analyze what makes a teen, from a social and biological perspective, and how this impacts our approach in the classroom. We will discuss some strategies and techniques that are useful in this context as well as the rationale behind them. By the end of the course, participants will be better able to evaluate approaches and apply them to their classrooms.

Tutor? Gabriel Ribeiro has a degree in Linguistics from the University of Sao Paulo. He is also a CPE and CELTA holder. Gabriel has been working with education for over ten years, teaching English as a Foreign Language at CELLEP and Red Balloon, Portuguese as a Second Language at CCBT, and proofreading materials for Somos. He is currently an academic consultant at Troika, focusing on teacher development, educational management and materials design.
