- 01A partnership between NatGeo Learning and Troika to offer training sessions related to the publisher’s teaching materials. In addition, academic workshops and general educational training sessions are also offered. NatGeo Learning provides these opportunities for teachers and coordinators from schools or language institutes that use or are planning to adopt the publisher’s materials. Troika manages the logistics of assigning trainers and organizing the sessions, which may be held either in person or online.
- 02Requests are made by NatGeo consultants through a Google Form, whose submission automatically sends the information to a spreadsheet integrated into the project. The level of detail provided is essential to ensure that the training meets the institution’s needs.
- 03After submitting the form, you will automatically receive a message from Google Forms with a copy of your responses. This automatic message is only a submission receipt and does not mean that the training is confirmed. The training will be confirmed once you receive the official email from Troika, sent by the project team (ngltreinamentos@troikabr.com), including all the training details, with the subject line: “NGL Training Confirmation”
- 04Online Training: According to the guidelines established with NatGeo, online training sessions must be requested at least two weeks in advance. Requests made with less than two weeks’ notice may be accommodated depending on trainer availability. In-person Training: According to the guidelines established with NatGeo, in-person training sessions must be requested at least two months in advance. Requests made with less than two months’ notice are unlikely to be accommodated due to the possible need for trainer travel.
- 05Online Training: According to the guidelines established with NatGeo, cancellations for online training sessions must be made at least one week in advance. In-person Training: According to the guidelines established with NatGeo, cancellations for in-person training sessions must be made at least two weeks in advance.
- 06There is no fixed limit, but the consultant should provide an estimate (e.g., “8 teachers, 2 coordinators”). Remember to include in the request the email addresses of the participants who should receive the confirmation with the training details.
- 07Since sessions may take place either in person or online, it is important to consider that both formats require the use of a computer and internet access. For in-person training, the trainer may bring their own computer or request the use of equipment provided by the institution. For online training, all participants should test their setup in advance. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that all equipment is ready before the session. We recommend: Checking that the computer or device to be used is working properly. Testing the internet connection in advance. Adjusting video, audio, and microphone settings before starting the session. Saving the link sent by email in an easily accessible location on the device that will be used to join the online training. Ensuring that only one device per room is connected to the session to avoid feedback, noise, and audio interference. If possible, having support from a technician responsible for the equipment, either on-site or on standby on the day of the session.
- 08Follow the guidelines below and, if possible, contact the person responsible for technical support at your school. Check your internet connection. Try joining the session using another computer. In case of audio interference, ensure that only one device is connected to the session. If the issue is not resolved after following the steps above, restart your device and internet router. If it is not possible to continue the session, inform the trainer if possible and contact your NatGeo consultant to reschedule the training.
- 09Before receiving confirmation: Send an email to ngltreinamentos@troikabr.com including: The requested date and time The name of the institution The consultant’s name and email exactly as entered in the form After receiving confirmation: Reply to the official confirmation email stating that you would like to cancel the training session.
- 10To avoid errors and inconsistencies, we don't recommend making manual changes (such as changing the time, date, type of training, etc. via email). If it is necessary to update any relevant information, the recommended procedure is: Cancel the original request by following the instructions in item 8; Submit a new complete request through the form with the updated information. This process ensures that the training is properly organized, minimizing the risk of scheduling inconsistencies or communication issues with the institution.
- 11All communication with Troika should be made via email at ngltreinamentos@troikabr.com.
