Writing my own materials - 101

"Writing my own materials - 101" is a 40-hour course designed for language teachers who are interested in creating customized learning materials for their students or schools. The course will cover a range of topics related to materials development, including understanding the teaching context, selecting appropriate text types and activities, incorporating receptive and productive skills, presenting and practicing language, using authentic resources and multimedia, and incorporating 21st century and social-emotional learning skills.

Participants will learn practical techniques for writing effective teacher's notes, creating digital materials, and leveraging AI and other tools to support the materials development process. The course will culminate in a final project where participants develop and present their own original teaching materials.
