In this session we are going to discuss the possibilities involving art and language teaching. We are going to start by discussing how art can contribute to students’ linguistic development and self-expression, as well as foster their creativity.
Then we are going to learn how to create different types of activities to teach and practise English through art, with a step-by-step approach and practical examples. You will also be receiving a framework to help you plan art-based English lessons.
Tutor? Renata Borges. Renata has graduated in Languages from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, with a post-graduate degree in English language literatures from the same university.She has been working in ELT for 17 years, having worked as a teacher and a pedagogical coordinator. For the last 9 years she has been working with teacher training and materials writing. She has worked on the development of online courses and books for adults and young learners in a bilingual context. She currently works for Troika, where she works with materials writing and teacher training.
